Words from a Ghost Hunter

I'm a Ghost Hunter. On my more sophisticated days I'm a "Paranormal Investigator and Researcher". What's the difference? I like to believe that as an Investigator I'm actually searching for answers and not just out there irritating the spirits, stomping and stumbling around in their terrain and disturbing their otherwise quiet existence. Which brings up my next question: Do they like the quiet or do they get bored with it? Maybe they enjoy the entertainment I provide as I tote around 30 pounds of equipment, most of it slung over my shoulder with a video camera in one hand and digital recorder in the other (and a digital thermometer poking out of my back pocket, an EMP device barely tucked in the other back pocket, and 10,000 batteries of various shapes and sizes tucked everywhere else because we all know that ghosts can and do drain your batteries as the most inopportune time!!)

The truth is I love it. Correction: I LOVE IT! Yes, analysis is boring and extremely time consuming, but it never stops me from recording both visually and digitally and usually with at least three cameras. For every one hour I investigate I get to spend two to five hours reviewing it.

But OMG when you actually find something. I've caught some very strange sentences and partial phrases, and I've even had a spirit tell me to "Go Home Renee." Should I be scared?

I could go on forever but I'm done for now. I'm going to utilize this blog to start posting lists of definitions, equipment lists, and other miscellaneous information that beginners might enjoy. I'll also try to post some standard forms I've created that are useful for investigating a client's house (i.e. release forms, insurance waivers, etc.). And some days I'll probably just ramble. Hopefully after a weekend of evidence analysis I'll have some interesting stories to tell, and if I can figure out how I'll even post some of the EVPs I've captured.

Speaking of EVPs, the first list I'm going to post is a short article I wrote which gives some background information on the first EVP captured and the classification listing of EVPs.

I truly hope you enjoy this. If not, please try to be kind. There's already enough meanness in the world.
